Free Domestic Violence Training

Dawson County Domestic Violence is offering a FREE community training designed to help participants better understand domestic violence, trauma, and how to support victims and survivors.

The training will cover how abuse and trauma affect the brain, the dynamics and patterns of power and control in domestic violence, and practical trauma-informed tools for recognizing and responding to abuse. Participants will also take part in the interactive “In Her Shoes” activity, which offers a powerful look at the complex realities and decisions survivors face.

Choose from two identical sessions: 8 AM–12 PM or 1–5 PM

304 Colorado Boulevard, Glendive

Each session contains the same information, so attending both is not necessary. Pastries will be provided during the morning session and snack trays in the afternoon.

This training is open to anyone interested in learning more about domestic violence and how we can better recognize, respond to, and support those impacted in our homes, workplaces, and community.
