How the program works:

Ages 0-99 can register for the Summer Reading Program.

You set your own goals and decide how much you are going to read.

Take a reading record home to record your time. At the end of June and July bring your completed reading record to the library to receive tickets. You can place the tickets in a drawing for a chance to win a grand prize.

Grand Prizes include inflatable kayak, Fire TV Stick 4k, board games, kid scooters and much more! Ends July 31st

***Children who do not read during the summer lose up to 2.6 months of their grade level equivalency when they return to school in the fall. By the time that child reaches 6th grade it is likely that they will be 2 years behind the child that reads during the summer months. The goal of the Glendive Public Library is to spark a desire to read during the summer by offering incentive prizes and by making reading fun. We encourage family participation and open this program up to all age groups.
